Xin Wen Bao
The newspaper "Xin Wen Bao" was first launched on the first day of January 19th in the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (February 17, 1893). Initially, it was a collaborative venture by both Chinese and foreign businessmen who jointly managed the company.
Shen Bao
Established on April 30, 1872, the publication was originally named "Shenjiang Xin Bao". It started as a bi-daily paper and later transitioned into a daily newspaper. The founder was a British businessman named Ernest Major. The paper came to an end on May 27, 1949, after the liberation of Shanghai.
North China Daily News

The Hong List is a commercial directory that was first published in 1865 by the North China Daily News, with new edition released annually. It primarily featured listings of businesses, foreign diplomatic entities, cultural and educational institutions, as well as industrial and mining companies in Shanghai and other major Chinese cities. Each entry in the directory included both the Chinese and foreign names, addresses, and the names of key managers or responsible staff.
